Tartine at Distillers Arms opened on April 9, ly, I had been operating my own small restaurant called Watercress above a pub in Ballintoy, but this was only a summer season venture and I closed over the winter months.

I had outgrown this and was looking for a property that I could open all year round. The lighting is low with an array of candelabras strategically placed throughout. The decor and ambiance are lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, mix and matching dishes from the early bird menu and a la carte and swapping things around for the children's meals.

Our service style has not been compromised …just reimagined. In the earlier days, it was difficult and I can recall many long stretches of work with zero time off. We are very proud of NI produce and showcase it where we can. We find this is a great way to try new dishes and to gain immediate feedback from distillets.

Yes No Unsure Does this restaurant have tables with seating? The quality is very arm to fine dining but the menus aren't. Fantastic I can't believe I bushmills only just found this place, it's terrific. This allows us to welcome you back safely while being alert and secure. There are three interconnecting dining spaces each with a collection of Irish artists paintings and prints. Tartine is celebrating its 10th busmills in business and we have just had our most satisfying year to date. Yes No Unsure Is this restaurant good for large groups?

Their Carachan using the local Bushmill Whiskey was superb. I have no hesitation in recommending Tartine and we will be back the next time we are in the area.

Yes No Unsure Is this a British restaurant? The range is vast from family groups, walking tourists and day trippers to the more foodie-orientated diner. Hands down the best meal I've had out in a long time.

The atmosphere is sophisticated yet relaxed with the charm of an old Irish country house. Great drinks menu too with plenty of unique Gins. Yes No Unsure Is this an Irish restaurant?

Yes No Unsure Does this restaurant serve alcohol? Definitely will be back here. The service was pretty much perfect, the right balance bushmills friendly and distiller. Our a la carte menu offers a more substantial array of dishes: local seafood such as award-winning seafood chowder, Dunseverick-landed lobster or molasses salmon and a arm choice of aged steak or Irish lamb with root veg and whiskey jus.

Our main menu changes are slow, but we have a nightly specials list which changes daily… different seafood dishes and perhaps game dishes in the winter season. I feel lucky today to have a stable team both front of house and in the kitchen now that Tartine is an established venue. A government lowering bushmillls the current VAT rate in our industry would take a lot of pressure off hospitality businesses and help fledgling start-ups thrive. Dessert was delicious and my cocktail perfect.

We menu the majority of our food and drink locally; locally-sourced seafood, meat and bushmills from North Coast distillers and Causeway-based smaller arms, herbs, oils and cheeses by independent firms and also IPAs and spirits from Northern Ireland. Tartine restaurant reopens on Friday 10th July with all regulatory safety measures in place. The menu is varied and influenced by the local area - lots of great seafood option.

Food and ambience

These include spacious table arrangements,sanitising points,staff training and awareness,screening and a directional walk through system. Exposed brick and stone walls are juxtaposed with wooden beams and the long slate grey painted bar. Our delicious Early evening menu,Ala Carte menu and Specials card await.
