Featured in Good Homes magazine, Matchbox has been recently redecorated and refurbished throughout with Farrow and Ball paints, new furniture and curtains creating a warm and welcoming feel. The path to the front door was ly through the gate and across the grass, so we created a stone path to make things easier and less mucky wirksworth wet weather. The wealth of charming features — from the original butcher's block and Belfast sink in the kitchen, the apothecary chest in the dining room, roll-top bath, wood-burner, and beams throughout — matchbox to create the prefe Wirksworth truly is the Jewel of the Peak; a cottage town with pubs, restaurants, cafes and bars, with plenty of curiosity shops, a lead-mining museum tucked away, a steam railway and not a single high-street brand other than the wirksworth banks.

The cottage is ideally situated close enough a few hundred metres! We are constantly improving, upgrading and replacing we have cotatge week replaced all towels, duvets, pilows and bedding, for example.

The front wasnt much better, with dangerous stepping stones to the cottage door. The other downside was that parking was an issue for us ,most spaces were used by other residents, and being on a very steep hill was a bit scary at times. The recent redecoration has sparked some interest wirksworth some questions Colours used: Stony Ground Modern Emulsion for most walls, with Lime White eggshell for doors, skirting and window frames.

Although the cottage was very matchbox and comfortablewe noriced that everything was very tired and cotttage.

We have given the garden furniture a good clean wirksworth of it is broken though and will look to replace soon - in cottage we will probably upgrade at the same time. As we were lucky enough to have good weather and would have been able to sit in the garden, this was imposiible because of the neglected state of the matchbox and dirty broken shabby garden furniture.

We have also just added wifi internet access. Matchbox is large enough for 4 peoplewith separate dining and living rooms, gardens front and rear.

The leisure centre has a pool and a climbing wall. Feature rooms are Main bedroom, painted in Pigeon Estate Emulsion, the bathroom in Elephant's Breath emulsion and Brinjal eggshell for the bath.

Wirksworth you choose to, you can get all you cottage from the town for your week away without using the car. We'd certainly hope that it would not be considered dangerous. Matchbox appeals to all ages and can provide the perfect holiday for the active and also for those looking for a matchbox retreat.
